Who we are.

This site is operated by Twin Networks Inc., a managed technology services firm headquartered in Centerbrook, Connecticut. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," we mean Twin Networks Inc.

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through twinnetworks.com, our email correspondence, and the initial consultations we conduct with prospective clients. It does not govern the data we process on behalf of our clients under a separate engagement agreement — that data is handled per the terms of that agreement and applicable regulations (HIPAA BAAs, SEC Reg S-P, and the like).

What we collect.

We try to collect as little as possible, and only what we need.

Information you give us

  • Contact details — name, firm name, title, email, phone, mailing address — when you fill out a form or email us.
  • Conversation content — what you tell us about your firm, your technology, and what you're trying to solve.
  • Book request details — mailing address and shipping information when you request a copy of From Exposed to Secure.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited. Standard web-server logs.
  • Analytics — aggregated usage statistics (pageviews, time on page, geographic region at country level). We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider and do not build cross-site profiles.

Why we collect it.

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule a conversation if one is requested.
  • To send you the materials you asked for (a book, a report, an email).
  • To send occasional written briefings if you opt in, and only until you opt out.
  • To operate, secure, and improve this website.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not "rent" it to marketers. We do not use it to train third-party AI models.

Who we share it with.

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only to the extent they need it for their work on our behalf. These include:

  • Our email and calendaring provider.
  • Our CRM and contact-management system.
  • Our website host and analytics provider.
  • Our book fulfillment and mailing provider.

Each of these is bound by a written agreement limiting their use of your data to the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Twin Networks, our clients, or others.

How long we keep it.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for, or as long as we're required to by law — whichever is longer. If you haven't engaged with us in four years and aren't on an active subscription list, we'll typically delete your contact record.

Your rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you.
  • Request a copy of that information.
  • Ask us to correct inaccuracies.
  • Ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Opt out of marketing emails — every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data-protection regulator.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@twinnetworks.com and we'll respond within thirty days. You won't need to fill out a form or prove a hardship — just ask.

Cookies & tracking.

This site uses a small number of cookies: one to remember your session, one for aggregated analytics, and one to remember whether you've already dismissed a notice. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social-sharing trackers that report back to their platforms.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.

Security.

We take technical and organizational measures appropriate to a firm whose whole business is technology stewardship: encryption in transit and at rest, MFA on every administrative system, least-privilege access controls, regular vulnerability testing, and the same quarterly third-party audit we require of our clients. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever have an incident affecting your information, we'll notify you and the appropriate regulators in the timeframes required by law.

Children.

This site is for professionals. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy.

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify the people in our contact records. Small clarifications may be made without notice.
