What these terms cover.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of twinnetworks.com and any related pages, forms, or content we publish on this domain (together, the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

The Site is operated by Twin Networks Inc., a Connecticut corporation. These Terms do not govern engagements under which we provide managed technology services to a client — those are governed by a separate written agreement.

What the Site is — and isn't.

If you need advice, you should engage a qualified professional — and yes, we'd be happy to be one of them, but under a signed agreement, not via a webpage.

Permitted use.

You may:

Read, link to, and share the content we publish.
Quote brief excerpts in your own writing with attribution.
Request a copy of From Exposed to Secure if you're a qualifying professional.
Contact us through the forms and email addresses provided.

You may not:

Scrape, harvest, or systematically download the Site.
Republish our content at scale, commercially, or without attribution.
Use the Site or our materials to train machine-learning models without our written permission.
Attempt to probe, test, or interfere with the Site's security.
Impersonate Twin Networks or misrepresent your relationship to us.

Intellectual property.

All content on the Site — text, images, logos, design, code, and the Twin Networks name and marks — is owned by Twin Networks Inc. or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing on the Site grants you a license to use our marks or any significant portion of our content outside the permitted uses above.

Links to third parties.

The Site may link to third-party resources we've found useful. We don't control those sites, we don't endorse everything on them, and we're not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Submissions.

If you send us an idea, comment, suggestion, or other unsolicited material, we may use it without restriction or compensation. Don't send us anything you consider confidential unless we've agreed in writing to treat it that way. For anything genuinely sensitive — a question about your firm's security posture, for example — please email us directly or call, and we'll scope a proper conversation.

Disclaimers.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Information on the Site reflects our views at the time of publication. Laws, regulations, threat landscapes, and technology change; we don't promise to keep every page up to date in real time.

Limitation of liability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Twin Networks and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Site — whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, and in those places this section applies to the maximum extent permitted.

Indemnification.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Twin Networks and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing law & disputes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Connecticut, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged prominently on the Site for a reasonable period. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
